Every grantee participates in their state coalition and contributes shared data through The Bridge, ensuring their work is visible, coordinated, and informed by the broader field.

Coalition participation and shared data mean grantees know where the gaps are, avoid duplicating existing services, and draw on a peer support network.

Closing the Detection Gap

K9 Grants

Preventing future abuse includes stopping active offenders; the evidence needed to do that often hides in plain sight.

Internet Crimes Against Children Task Forces operate on the front lines of child sexual abuse (CSA) and exploitation investigations, but even the most skilled human investigators miss electronic devices during search warrants. Electronic Storage Detection (ESD) K9s close that gap.

Specially trained to detect the chemical odor found in electronic devices such as cell phones, laptops, and USB drives, these K9s routinely uncover devices containing CSA material that would otherwise go undiscovered. This evidence leads directly to offender accountability and child victim identification.

kNot Today funds ESD K9 training and placement because detection is prevention. Every hidden device recovered is a case strengthened, an offender removed, and a child protected from continued harm. To date, our funded K9s have collectively located thousands of devices, assisted on hundreds of search warrants, and supported the arrest of dozens of offenders.
